This is a study to demonstrate the effect of oral ozanimod as maintenance therapy in participants with moderately to severely active Crohn's Disease.
Crohn's Disease (CD) and Ulcerative Colitis (UC), collectively known as inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), are two of the most significant chronic conditions of the gastrointestinal tract (GIT). IBD affects over 1.5 million individuals in the US, so identifying risk factors for disease flares is essential to avoid complications, such as hospitalizations and surgery, and to improve quality of life (QoL). Recently, there has been an increased understanding of the importance of sleep and sleep disruption in IBD as a potentially modifiable risk factor. Bright light therapy (BLT) in IBD patients with CM may decrease intestinal permeability...
ArthritisPower is a patient research network and database (registry) to collect prospective information about demographics, self-reported diagnoses and medications, and willingness to participate in research from participants with rheumatoid arthritis (RA), spondyloarthritis (SpA), and other musculoskeletal conditions. Participants will provide information from their smartphones or personal computers. The information will be used by researchers to help patients and their providers make better, more informed decisions about treatment of RA/SpA and other musculoskeletal conditions. ArthritisPower is part of a larger national research ...
To assess the differential expression of IBD-related microbiome-derived biomarkers including bacterial strains and peptides such as antimicrobial peptides (AMP) found in inner-colonic samples (HygiSample™) in comparison to home collected stool samples in patients with active IBD colonic disease. The HygiSample will be collected during a defecation-inducing high-volume (>40 L) colon irrigation bowel prep (HygiPrepⓇ).
Active inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) causes disabling symptoms such as diarrhea, involuntary loss of bowel control, abdominal pain and urges to pass stool. However, even patients with inactive IBD frequently experience such symptoms. The cause is not well understood and the functionality of the bowel in IBD patients is underexplored. Earlier studies show a wide range of results, but most find that patients with IBD in remission are up to four times as likely to report gastrointestinal symptoms when compared to healthy controls. Chronic inflammation may cause changes of the bowel wall, like increased collagen deposits ...
This is a Phase 2/3 study that comprises 5 substudies designed to evaluate the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of oral etrasimod as therapy in adult participants with moderately to severely active Crohn's disease (CD) who are refractory or intolerant to at least 1 of the current therapies for CD (ie, corticosteroids, immunosuppressants, or biologics). The overall duration of this study is up to 282 weeks, inclusive of the 28-Day Screening Period, Treatment Period of up to 274 weeks (Induction, Extension or Maintenance, and Long-term Extension Periods), and the 4-Week Follow-Up Period for safety assessment.
CDPATH™ is a tool to help predict the potential for developing Crohn's disease related complications in certain adult participants within 3 years. The main aim of the study is to explore the use of CDPATH™ to describe a participant's risk profile and to have discussions with their doctor about the potential path of their Crohn's disease. The number of visits will be decided by the study clinic according to their standard practice.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of JNJ-78934804 at Week 48 compared to guselkumab and golimumab.
A perianal fistula is an abnormal passageway that develops between the rectum and the skin near the anus. The fistula is considered complex if it branches into several openings or an abscess is also present. The main aim of this study is to learn if complex perianal fistulas in children and teenagers close after treatment with darvadstrocel. 2 to 3 weeks before treatment with darvadstrocel, each participant will have surgery to clean the fistula and to drain any abscesses. On the day of treatment, each participant will have the fistula cleaned and will receive an injection of darvadstrocel near the fistula, under ...
